We were trolling the web for some great data on Twitter. Really pouring over articles on who really had the “meat” of how to make Twitter work, and we found some great stuff we just had to share with you.
Dan Zarrella from Hubspot who wrote the book, The Science of Marketing knows a thing or two about Twitter engagement. We found an amazing infographic he worked on which really got to the core of one fundamental: how to get more clicks on your Tweets. He looked at a bunch of Twitter users and what they were publishing and came up with some great data points.
We’ll pull out the 3 we like, but you should really check out the article.
1. Tweet on the weekends – Seems like for Dan, he saw a click spike Friday-Sunday.
2. Write between 120-130 characters – anything shorter doesn’t seem to contain substance perhaps? Plus if you want to include an image that URL takes up some valuable space!
3. Tweet in the afternoon – Huh? May make sense when your folloowers have finally cleared out all of the nitty things that built up over the hours of the morning. Now you might get them to look at your Tweets!
In the end, we just say test it for yourself and see what works for you!
