Beta is Live!
Last Wednesday we launched beta, as you can see from our Dasheroo dashboard we got some spikes in our traffic. How did it happen? we put it out on most of our social networks (more than once!) and have started email marketing campaigns to people we know. We even got a 40% open rate on one of our contact lists which if you do much email marketing you know is a pretty epic rate. Don’t forget to sign up for your account btw, it’s free.
We also got published by the fine folks over at Duct Tape Marketing in their Weekend Favs edition. Thanks guys! They have a pretty rockin’ blog.

Using our Custom Insights we were able to come up with a dashboard that lets us see all of our API requests by each application.
Our First Glitch…
If you work in software, you just know these things happen. So we had our first one. We had a Google glitch for a half day that we worked through pretty quickly. Many apps that you want to track have limits to the number of times you can request them to update your business dashboards and we ran into it a tiny bit with Google. It was easily diagnosed and fixed but it inspired our co-founder James to put alerts on all of our data partners when we’re getting close to hitting our limits of data requests. Cool thing about James is that as the developers are working on building out features and new apps for our users, he is always thinking of how we need to be monitoring the business and builds internal tools for that as well.

By far the funniest Twitter profile following us!
New Users!
We hit over 500 Users which is a pretty big deal for us since we’ve not been advertising much. It’s been solely word of mouth, people we know and social media. So if you do like us, don’t forget to tell your friends, we love all the help we can get!
We’ve been climbing the search engine ladder. For the keywords we want to be known for “business dashboards” we are in the top 50 results (barely!) For now we’re sitting pretty at the bottom of page 4. It’s been a ton of work creating useful content to drive people to our blog, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Pinterest and Instagram.
The good news is over the past few months Google organic traffic (people who go to Google and click on our link, we don’t buy Adwords) is now our number three single source of traffic behind “Direct” (people that type Dasheroo into their browsers) and all of the Facebook channels (we boost our posts to drive traffic to us.) Why is that cool? Because people are finding us on Google and we’re pretty happy about that.
We Have a Winner!
Thanks for taking our survey Leah, you got the slightly used GoPro Hero 3! It’s only been to the Caribbean and back:-)
What’s Next?
Now onto new things for a Q1 launch. James is flying out from Austin so we can go over all of the things we’d like to see in our Q1 release. He’s been busy building out our development team so it’s going to be super exciting to see what we brainstorm. Oh, make your voice heard and vote for the next set of apps we work on here.
