How To Analyze Your Website Traffic by Hour – Google Analytics

If you use Google Analytics, surprise!! It’s super easy to track the time of day you get traffic, but you might not be aware of the ability to get to this level of detail. Why might this be important? Well, you could start to maximize what you feature on your site with the time of day you get the most traffic.

  • If you’re selling products online you might want to sell a product you want to clear out or feature a great deal to get someone who hasn’t purchased from you, in the door.
  • You could include a modal window with a newsletter sign up form during those hours to get as many email addresses as possible.
  • You could start to do more email marketing and social posting during your off-traffic hours to start boosting traffic in those hours.
  • Advertise in the down hours in other countries to boost traffic in those hours.
