10 Top Social Media Publications to Really Learn From

OK, we all know there’s no shortage of blogs and pubs out there talking about social media, and we’ve spent a lotta time perusing dozens and dozens of them. And while many dish up some good info, there’s only so much time in the day so we’ve zero’d in on our top social media publications for ya.

Our top social media pubs:

  • Social Media Today – Heck, we could spend all day on this site! They have excellent contributors, great webinars and their article content is spot-on, actionable and relevant. Bam! @socialmedia2day
  • Social Mediopolis – Michael Crosson does a great job here, along with his LinkedIn group. We especially enjoy the videos, punchy and chock full of excellent ideas and their takes on tools and apps that can improve your productivity. @SocialMediopols
  • Social Media Examiner – Michael Steizner and the crew are just slick (in a good way!) marketers all the way around. They market themselves well, the site is great, and this is the one email newsletter we open, read and share DAILY. The ‘how-to’ orientation of their articles is really helpful. @smexaminer
  • MediaBistro – Serves up a plethora of social media how-tos and news with AllTwitter, AllFacebook and SocialTimes.

And, a couple of our fave social media blogs:

  • Simply Measured – we love analysis and measurement, and these guys bring it when it comes to social media analysis trends and insights. @simplymeasured
  • Social Media Explorer – No frills, cut-to-the chase articles with a unique perspective. They also provide agency services. @smxplorer
  • Jeff Bullas – He’s a consultant who works with brands and writes about all things social. We’ve RT’d him on numerous occasions. @jeffbullas
  • Hubspot’s Inbound Marketing Blog – These guys have some great marketing tools but they also cover some great info all over the digital marketing world. @hubspot
  • VerticalResponse Blog – Known for being killer in email marketing and social media marketing tools they also do a wonderful job sifting through all of the marketing speak and laying down real how-tos on the marketing front. @VR4SmallBiz
  • Convince and Convert – Jay Baer does a kick ass job of laying it down on all things digital marketing. @jaybaer
