The folks over at Deadspin took at look at post season playoff games since 1903 and found that the recent Giants playoff game that lasted an ungodley 18 innings was 9.10 standard deviations from the mean! Since ’95 playoff games have run about 9.28 innings on average with a standard deviation of 0.96 so you can see how “off” this was.
Take it one step further? Of course they did. They looked at a few other things where there is a 9.10 standard deviation from the mean. Shockingly one of them is a 13.4 inch p*nis. Thanks for THAT data LifeStyles.
