Since we last emailed you we’ve been working on LinkedIn Dashboards and we’ve made some serious headway. We had to stop our developers from working on it for a bit so that we could get some heavy duty data from them on costing for our business plan. But now, they’re back in the saddle!
We’ve been trying to get Personal Profile data out of LinkedIn but it’s pretty limited. So here’s what we were able to snag for Personal stuff, because if you’re using your Personal Profile instead of your Company to post, you’ll want to know how that’s doing:
For your Personal account you’ll get:
- Highest engagement rate posts
- 5 most recent updates with engagement
- Total Connections - Note: if you have more than 500 LinkedIn connections it doesn’t give us the number, it just gives 500+
We think they should up that to 1,000 or so!
For your Company account you’ll get:
- # of Followers
- Your recent posts, how many saw the post, clicked on a link, Liked, Commented, Clicked or Shared the post
- The engagement rate for each post
- Total engagement rate over time
Ok, onto other stuff we’re working on…
We made some changes to our UI that we’re playing with. We’re pulling out some of the features that were hidden before and making them way more visible. Why should you have to hunt for what you need, right?
- We did away with the dashboard tabs so in the event you have more than 4 dashboards you can see them in a nifty drop-down menu, anf it works WAY better if you’re on a tablet or phone
- We simplified “Share” so you can share a dashboard with your team & work on the Insights you want with each other
- You can make a link to a dashboard “public” and email the link to whoever you want
- You can turn off your public dashboard and make it a private link that can’t be crawled. Thanks to our user Eric for that feedback!
We’ve been busy working on our business model so we have all of our costs in place, especially if we’re going to talk to nice people about raising money. We need to know how we can scale this business especially since we’re thinking of going Freemium. Since we have our profile in Crunchbase we’ve been starting to get some interest.
We’re also starting to noodle on a new website as we launch our Beta in October. We really need to get some cool screenshots, and features/benefits of why you need dashboards in these crazy days of data.
Ok, whew, that’s it for now! Look out for an email from us announcing LinkedIn data is available for your business dashboards.
