Track Our Startup! Week 3 of Alpha - On The Way to Launch Business Dashboards

Last week we started work on them, but this week we made some serious headway with Twitter Insights for our business dashboards. We spent the weekend QA’ing them (yeah even though it was like 75 in SF) and they’re looking good. They’re soon to be in the alpha version of Dasheroo. That made us decide to wait on inviting more of you to the alpha until we release Twitter.

We spent a ton of time going through the business dashboard products on the market today and honing in on where we fit in. We’re trying to not “throw up” data into a dashboard that might be meaningless to you. Being that we’ve all ‘been there, done that’ we know what’s important and what isn’t and we’re trying to walk the fine line of offering too much in the “useless” category and more in the HELL YEAH!! category. You feel us?

In other news we’re solidifying the goals for our launches and what we want to track to define success. Things like how you’re using the product, what apps you’re connecting to (and what you aren’t) and how many insights you create are really important. So we’re getting the metrics together on what we want to measure, and then have an impact on.

As usual thanks to the folks at flowingdata.com for their awesome content!

Next up?

We’re all getting together in the same room to talk about the future of our dashboard product near term (our beta) and further out (our launch.) Should be fun. We’ve not been in the same room since March. Wonder if anyone has grown a beard!

We’ll also be sending more invites for the alpha version in the coming week. We need more of you in there telling us the good, bad and ugly. Hey we’re adults we can handle it.

In breaking news, our recent edition of ‘Who Charted?’ is off the hook! We showed you how many pairs of underwear you need to pack for you lengthy stays on vacation in a wonderful chart format. You didn’t see it? It got THE MOST engagement rate for Dasheroo yet, over 50 clicks!

Onward and upward…
