We talked about how often you should be posting to Twitter to be effective, so now it’s time to do the same for a Facebook rule-of-thumb. Based on that fantastic article Fast Company published, here are some key takeaways for your Facebook post frequency.
According to Social Bakers who studied 3 months of data:
- Posting once per week is a waste of time
- Post at least once per day
- More than 2x/ day can be annoying
According to Track Social:
There’s a drop in engagement beyond one per day, perhaps fans don’t want to be perceived as “crazy” about a particular brand. Posts past the first one only receive 2/3 of the response the first one does and it goes down per post.

Our reco from our experience? Post at least once per day but don’t exceed 3. M
