That’s What She Said…Our User Feedback for Business Dashboards

We got to chat to a few more users from our alpha launch of business dashboards last week and boy does it underscore the importance of getting user feedback early on. At Dasheroo we are so thankful (read: desperate!) to talk to anyone who will tell us what they like and what they don’t.

  • One of the biggest things we heard is that when a you log in for the first time, you should bepresented with a “starter” pack of Insights across different applications so you can see first-hand how it works. Then you can customize it. Basically you want the “I’m feeling lucky” dashboard at the get-go. You can be sure that we’ll be looking into that before our Beta.

  • You also want to know about any best practices or changes for each application. For instance Google Analytics used to call “sessions” “visits.” So it would be great to know of any changes that exist like this so you’re educated about what you’re looking at.
  • It would also be great if we could deliver the expert business dashboard for each application so you can add or take away Insights you need or don’t.
  • You want more applications to connect to like Twitter, VerticalResponse, Moz and Marketo. (Twitter is in the works!)
  • You want to be able to get an excel spreadsheet into a dashboard. A bit tricky but we’re looking at it.

Whew! Great information we’re getting early on so that we can make changes that could be tougher down the road.
