Dasheroo Announces Appointment of Leading Industry and Tech Experts Walter Kortschak and John Jantsch to Board of Advisors

Business dashboard provider builds out advisory board with experts in digital marketing, business measurement and overall leadership to bring valuable perspectives to a fast growing company.


Dasheroo, leading business dashboard provider for small and medium-size businesses as well as agencies and enterprises worldwide, announced today that it has created a board of advisors to which it appointed two initial members: Walter Kortschak, a technology venture investor from Summit Partners and Kortschak Investments and John Jantsch, founder of Duct Tape Marketing.

About Walter Kortschak

Walter is currently an active private investor and advisor to a number of promising start-up technology companies. Through Kortschak Investments, Walter invests in early stage technology companies led by exceptional founders. Notable companies include ClassDojo, Dasheroo, Evernote, First Republic Bank, Lyft, Main Street Hub, MileZero, MomentFeed, Palantir, ServiceMesh, Snitch, The Trade Desk, and Twitter.

Walter spent the majority of his career as a Managing Partner at Summit Partners, a firm he joined in 1989. Over a 30-year venture capital career, he has served as a director of over 50 companies, including many public companies.

While at Summit, he invested in several industry-defining companies, notably E-TEK Dynamics, an early leader in optical networking, later merged with JDS Uniphase in a transaction valued at over $18 billion, and as the initial investor in McAfee, an anti-virus and network security firm and one of the pioneering companies using the Internet business model for distributing software.

Prior to Summit, Walter was a Vice President and Associate at Crosspoint Venture Partners and a software engineer in the computer graphics field. Walter has consistently appeared on the Forbes Midas List and is a member of the Board of Trustees at Caltech. He is a founder and advisory board member of the Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity at the University of Southern California and a past director of the National Venture Capital Association
