Google Sheets, a Google Dashboard, and Your Sales Team

You can learn a lot through the implementation of a Google dashboard. From analytics to AdWords, there’s always another piece of data calling your name.

Recently, at Dasheroo, we released a new Google Sheets feature that you’re going to be excited bout. Here’s what we had to say about it:Screen-Shot-2016-08-25-at-8.30.52-AM

“Now you can track multiple KPIs on ONE chart in your dashboard, up to 5 in fact. So if you want to see how one metric is performing right alongside others, this is the way to do it.”

We can think of many ways this feature will come in handy, especially in regards to your sales team.

With multi-metric tracking, you have the opportunity to track up to five different metrics in one chart. It really is that simple. Take a look for yourself and add this one to your Google dashboard.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at a few ways it can be used to track sales performance and improve results.

1. Track Sales Revenue by Rep

You have many people on your sales team. You know some are performing up to par, while others are lagging behind the group.

With this Google Sheets feature, you can track your salespeople’s revenue against each other.  This allows you to see who’s performing best and who needs to pick up the slack.

2. Track Sales Over Time

At the end of each month (or any other interval), you can use this feature to see how each salesperson is performing as compared to the past.

Is one salesperson consistently making more sales than the month before? Is another experiencing a slow and steady drop-off? Tracking them all in a single graph makes it easy to identify quickly who is doing what.

3. Product Sales

What product performs best for your company? What product is on the verge of being discontinued?

If you can’t answer this question, it may be because you’ve yet to track product sales over a particular period of time.

Our newest feature makes it simple to track up to five product sales, giving you a clear idea of which ones generate the largest percentage of revenue.

Getting started is as simple assigning up for an account, creating a Google dashboard, and using this feature to track a variety of sales data. What are you waiting on?

Track Our Startup: Active Campaign + More Performance Upgrades

We’re still gearing up for a release hopefully in the next week with Active Campaign, some Google Analytics insights for your Google Dashboard and maybe a new billing tier. Stay tuned.

Customer Success

Alf our VP of Customer Success has set up a “Calendy” campaign where he sends email to our paying customers to see if they need any help with their onboarding experience. If you get an email from him and want to chat take him up on it it’s fun, just schedule a meeting based on when he’s available! Now he’ll be reaching out to people who have gone inactive to see if he can get them active with us again.

Better Performance

James our VP of Engineering worked on another round of performance fixes for dashboard loading. This is an extension of performance fixes he did two weeks ago. He’s addressing the amount it time it takes to load a new new data that comes in the dashboard. Speaking of James, he’s coming to San Francisco this month, always awesome to see him, he lives in Austin. More on our meetings later!

Since we have a bunch in the queue we’re focusing on potentially getting this performance stuff out first in the next few days before our integrations.Active Campaign Apps Marketplace

New Marketplace

We had an awesome meeting with Active Campaign speaking of new integrations. Apparently they are hearing  a lot of requests for Dasheroo. They seem excited to list us for their marketplace but not more excited than us!

Ok, time to get back to it. Cheers!

Track Our Startup: Performance Boost + August Rocked!

Well now that our last release is behind us here at Dasheroo, there’s a new one coming! We’re going to be adding a new pricing tier between FREE and $19 so be on the lookout for that. We’re also working on performance for your dashboards, killing some nasty bugs some users have experienced (sorry!), and our new integration with one of our most requested apps, Active Campaign, CRM for small business.

We think that we boosted performance for loading your dashboards by anywhere from 10-20%. So you should see your dashboards loading at a quicker pace. Thanks James! He’ll be looking at a few other places in our code where we can optimize performance. Everybody needs a speedy dashboard.quickbooks online logo - dasheroo dashboards

We’re doing some research on what new insights for QuickBooks Online users might want. We even asked our own internal accountants to weigh in. More on that as we know more.

Thanks to Nivi for reaching out to all customers who have asked for multi metric tracking in a Google Sheet. If you don’t know about it, it’s awesome.

Our summer started slow but man did it end on a high note. We got the most new customers in a given month ever. And Mimi killed it with her sales number as well. Way to go!

September is gearing up to be bigger and better so we have to get back to work!

Track Our Startup: New Release On the Way

As we told you last week we’ve been busy on our next release for your dashboards due out later this week. What’s new? A bunch!!

New Features for Tracking KPIs On The Way!

The biggest request we get from those who track KPIs on a Google Sheets dashboard is support for tracking multiple KPIs on one sheet. Well in the next release you’ll be able to support FIVE!!

You’ll also get access to these new features right from within your dashboards so every time we do a release it will be even easier to find out all the goodies you’ll have access to.

We’ll also have a few Quickbooks Online insights to add to your dashboards. Now you’ll be able to track KPIs like your P&L right from Dasheroo.

We’re also working to get our Active Campaign dashboard out so you can track all of your marketing KPIs in one spot. That will likely make the release after this one. Great job guys!

We’ve been doing pretty good with our SEO lately. We use a tool called SEM RushSEM Rush - Dasheroo SEO which we really like. It gives us great competitive intel for keywords that other businesses in our space are ranking for. We can easily see where we are plotted next to other businesses. In the chart on the right you can see that we are ranking for the most organic keywords that drive the right targeted traffic. Can you tell we love our graphs and charts here at Dasheroo? 🙂

Alf, our VP of Customer Success, has been busy recovering from the awesome onslaught of user questions and suggestions (which we love) from the Social Media Examiner article last week. It was an awesome article, How to Monitor Multiple Social Media Metrics in a Single Dashboard, thanks again @SMExaminer! We also had a record number of purchases we’ve ever had in a week.

Back to work!

Social Media Examiner: Monitor KPIs In a Single Dashboard!

Social Media Examiner: Set Up a Single Dashboard to track KPIsWe just got HUGE ink in a great article from Social Media Examiner and we couldn’t be more excited. It’s all about tracking KPIs from a single spot. It’s an awesome read: How to Monitor Multiple Social Media Metrics in a Single Dashboard.

Writer Brandon Olson who is the Content Marketing Manager at AWeber, one of the world’s leading email marketing providers, walks you through how to choose the right tool for your business (so yes our competition is in there, we like them!) how to connect Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and LinkedIn social media KPIs.

And it’s not a surprise Brandon also talks about how to tie in Google Analytics KPIs as well as an email marketing dashboard.

Twitter Analytics: What’s Your Primary Focus?

Can you believe that Twitter has approximately 310 million monthly active users (as of March 31, 2016)? Or how about the fact that 83% of these users are active on mobile?

With statistics like these, it’s important for Twitter analytics to be a big part of any social media strategy.

Of course, there is more to Twitter than posting updates and hoping for a steady increase in your number of followers. You must focus your time, energy, and effort on the areas that have the best chance of making a positive impact on your company.

With this in mind, here are three details that deserve your attention:

1. Follower GrowthScreen Shot 2016-08-02 at 1.50.31 PM

There is a big difference between hoping you grow your follower count and taking steps to make this happen.

This chart displays day over day and week over week growth.

But don’t stop here. Make note of the days when the biggest increases occur. What did you do differently? Did you post more updates? Did you share an interesting blog post? Dig deep to find out which actions have the biggest impact on your follower count.

2. Highest Engagement

You can make as many updates as you want, but remember this: engagement Twitter analytics: highest engagementis what matters most.

You want your audience to engage with your content, whether it be through a retweet, reply, or like. When this happens, you know you’re on the right path. You also know what types of updates to share in the future.

3. Amplification Rate

Often overlooked, at Dasheroo we define this as follows:

“Rate that followers share your Tweets with their followers (amplification = number of RT’s per Tweet).”

This goes hand in hand with engagement, as you want your amplification rate to be as high as possible. In short, this means your followers are sharing your updates with their followers. In other words, your content is amplified!

Now what do you think about Twitter analytics? Will you spend more time on this part of your social media marketing plan in the future?

New Release: Why You Might Need a Push API to Track KPIs

Dasheroo Push API for tracking internal KPIsOk, this won’t take too long to sink your teeth into why the Dasheroo Push API might be just the thing you need to keep track of ALL of your KPIs in one dashboard.

And if you’re a Dasheroo user we know you love using Dasheroo to connect to the dozens of apps we integrate with. But we know you might have other custom data that you also need to have visibility into on your dashboard.  If so, the Dasheroo Push API can help out.

What’s a Push API?

Push API is a powerful way to connect any internal data to Dasheroo and convert your data into useful visualizations on your dashboard right alongside all of the other KPIs you’re tracking from Google Analytics, Facebook and perhaps Shopify!

So for instance you might want to track KPIs for:

  • Your internal sales system so you can see how any social media is working to drive sales
  • Your internal sales system so you can see if there are any discrepancies with your PayPal, Shopify, or Stripe sales.
  • Your number of new customers from your internal systems
  • Error tracking on your website or database

On top of this you want your stats updated FAST and furiously. And you can have your KPIs updated new (starting from 0) each day or have them continuously updated. Cool huh?

Currently Dasheroo has users users who’ve created dashboards that combine Push API insights with a selection of over 500 current insights we offer from 35 applications. But we also have users who’ve created Push API-only dashboards and are using Dasheroo as a pure visualization tool. Obviously we’re happy to support any and all users!

Setting up the Push API for your business is simple; all you need to do is send the data you want to visualize to a unique URL provided by Dasheroo and we will take care of the rest.

How to set up the Dasheroo Push API.

James our VP of Engineering spent the week bug fixing, something all of us software developers need to do but nobody likes to do it. Thanks James.

Dasheroo Continues to Climb…

We climbing in the search results for some pretty interesting keywords. We now rank for over 2000 keyword/phrases which we think is pretty cool. We’re neck-in-neck with our main competitor and they’ve been around for years!

KPIs

We’re keeping a close eye on our KPIs for the summer month slowdown. We just want to make sure we’re forecasting properly and hitting our numbers. Of course the month started slow but we’re aiming to get just over 2100 new users. So far we keep beating expectations so hopefully July won’t be too slow!

Tell your friends about Dasheroo, Cheers.

New Release: More Google Adwords Dashboard KPIs

We’ve been marching towards this release and it’s finally here! Thanks to everyone on the team for working hard on these upgrades that our users have been asking for. You’ll also be seeing more features over the next few weeks so stay tuned!

This week we’ve made some changes to our Google AdWords insights and wanted to provide all the details. If you use Google Adwords within Dasheroo you’ll want to check this out.

Google AdWords Enhancements

You’ll now view a table that provides your AdWords KPIs at an individual ad level. For every ad: clicks, impressions, CTR, average CPC and Cost are displayed as KPIs for the given time period.

Video Performance

The Video Performance insight is a quick snapshot of how your video ads are doing in the chosen time period. The overview insight shows high level stats like Impressions, Video Views, Video View Rate, Clicks, CPV, Cost, CTR. The insight also shows how these numbers have been trending in the given time period and gives you an indication of how your video ads have been doing.

Video Watch Rate

This multi-line insight will provide stats on the percentage of impressions where a viewer saw 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of your video ad and how this trends over a period of time. This insight can be Dasheroo Google Video Views KPIsconfigured at an Ad Account, AdGroup, Campaign or individual ad level on your Google dashboard.

  • Watch 25% rate : Percentage of impressions where the viewer watched 25% of your video
  • Watch 50% rate : Percentage of impressions where the viewer watched 50% of your video
  • Watch 75% rate : Percentage of impressions where the viewer watched 70% of your video
  • Watch 100% rate : Percentage of impressions where the viewer watched 100% of your video

How cool is that? You’ll now be able to track video viewing KPIs on your dashboard.

New Filters

In addition to new insights we have now introduced the ability to configure your Google AdWords insight at the Ad Set, Ad Campaign or individual ad level. So in addition to the overall high level stats on your AdWords account, you can set up insights at a much granular level to see how a particular ad campaign or even an individual ad is performing. Simply add a new insight and configure it in the settings panel.

We’re planning on more releases in the coming weeks, happy dashboarding!
